Outstanding finance, insurance write-offs, stolen markers and plate changes across 4,390 vehicles checked with a full CarCheckUp report, by vehicle age and by make; and MOT results, advisories and mileage anomalies across the MOT histories of 491,789 vehicles (5,710,686 MOT tests), by make and for 59 popular models. How we produce research
All figures come from anonymised, aggregated results of checks run on CarCheckUp: no figure identifies a vehicle, a registration or a person. They describe the vehicles people chose to check with us, which are mostly cars being considered for purchase, not every vehicle on UK roads.
